cool site, was wondering if there is a good map making program you could recomend for free

Every free map software I’ve seen focuses on a certain type of map (hex, dungeon, etc.) Which kind of maps are you looking for?

thanks for repliing, im just looking for a program that one could generate a map on and possably a campaign or two. hex would be fin since im kind of used to drawing my maps on hex. a while ago i made a whole contenant that consisted of 14 campaigns and three double campaigns but got destroyed in flood :( would like to create it again but on computer in stead of all those pencils and pencil crayons wasted lol
